The Rural Action Yorkshire offer to provide Digital Skills Taster Sessions has gone down a storm and they are getting booked up double quick time.
We will be running two sessions at Savoy Youth & Community Centre (Vanessa & Howard, pictured above) on 6 September for members of the Skelmanthorpe Tenant & Residents Association in partnership with Communities Who Can.
The two sessions are designed for older people that have not used mobile devices like tablets, iPads or even computers previously.
They will be getting hands on experience of how simple and easy it is to take and save high quality pictures, to have a video conversation with someone, to send an email to a friend, to search for information on the internet and to listen to music or watch videos.
We are also planning to leave the group with a new tablet for their own use at the end of the sessions.
No doubt the blog will feature photos and perhaps even videos from the sessions in due course.
